Hunting trips




Fire is used to clear the ground to reveal burrows — it's blackheaded python season, yum!

 

 

 

 



The children showed a volunteer from Sydney the art of rapidly spreading a fire.

 

 



This is how we track pythons in their holes.

 

We didn't catch anything this time, lucky the boys found some delicious tinmeat (the seedpod from the bloodwood tree which contains larvae and a grub)!
